mountova is not a medical device and has not been approved by any health regulatory authority (such as the FDA or CE). The app is intended for general wellness and fitness purposes only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

Special instructions
The content of the service provided by mountova is only an auxiliary reference for users to understand their own conditions, which cannot be used for medical purposes. If you have any discomfort, please consult a doctor. mountova is not responsible for any direct or indirect damage. The service content is for general reference only and may not be suitable for specific users, especially for:

• (1) People with a history of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, asthma and other circulatory and respiratory diseases.
• (2) mountova shall NOT be responsible for insufficient food intake, weight loss or weight gain, fainting, malnutrition or other consequences resulting from calorie consumption after wearing a mountova smart ring.
• (3) Although the mountova smart ring can monitor heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, sleep quality, athletic ability, etc., it cannot be used for any medical purpose. Consult your doctor before starting any exercise and diet plans.

The information we collect

To provide better services, we need you to provide your personal information for the necessary services. If you do not provide personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services.

When you use our services, we will collect the following types of information:

• Account information: user ID, email, nickname, gender, age, height, weight, blood pressure baseline (systolic/diastolic), maximum heart rate (used for health metric calculation).
• Health data recorded by the ring device: steps, calories, exercise duration, sleep (duration and quality), heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), temperature, stress, blood pressure, heart rate variability (HRV), sedentary events, heart rate alerts, and manual measurement data.
• Ring device information: device name, Bluetooth MAC address (ring device only, not a phone identifier), Bluetooth name, battery, firmware version, last sync time.
• Chat and reminder information: your conversation content with the AI assistant, reminder records (type, content, trigger time).
• Settings you submit proactively: exercise goals, weight goals, heart rate alert thresholds, alarms, sedentary/drink reminders, etc.
• File information: firmware upgrade files, font files, avatar image.
• Network status: network type (for version update prompts).
• Regarding location: the location permission is used only for Bluetooth scanning on Android 11 and below to discover and connect to the ring; this app does not collect any location data.

The way we use information

• To set up a mountova account
• To calculate or record exercise and health results (steps, calories, heart rate, sleep, blood pressure, HRV, etc.)
• Physical condition analysis (e.g., ideal weight range)
• Health data calculation (gender, age, height, weight – if refused, accuracy will be affected)
• AI assistant conversation and smart reminder services
• To display sleep information (duration, quality, distribution)
• Network-related services (new version prompt based on network type)
• Statistical analysis (aggregated, non-identifiable usage trends)

Legal basis for processing (GDPR, for EU users):

• Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)): for optional features such as marketing communications and optional health tracking.
• Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)): for core services such as account management and data sync.
• Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): for statutory requirements such as taxation and anti-fraud.
• Special category data (Article 9): health data is a special category of data; we process it only based on your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)).

How to share information

Except for the limited cases below, we do not share your personal information, and we do not sell your personal data.

• With your consent or instruction – e.g., when you actively choose to share health data.
• External processing – with our affiliates and service providers under strict confidentiality.
• Sharing with third-party health platforms – with your explicit authorization, we may share your health data with third-party health platforms of your choice; if such platforms (e.g., Health Connect) are integrated in the future, we will notify you separately. You may terminate this at any time.
• Legal reasons or harm prevention – to comply with the law, court orders, or protect safety.
• Mergers, acquisitions, or asset transfers – we will notify you before transferring data.

Third-party components: we use the following third-party components: Tencent MMKV (local key-value storage), xlog (logging), and the ring device SDK (Bluetooth communication and health data collection). These components run locally on the device or communicate only with mountova services, and do not provide your personal data to any third party for their own purposes.

Your right to access and control your personal information

• Access: after login, you can view all data in the app (steps, exercise, sleep, heart rate, weight, etc.).
• Update: modify nickname, gender, age, height, weight (auto-collected data cannot be edited).
• Delete account: you can initiate account deletion in the app via "Profile - Delete Account", or via the web deletion entry at https://app.mountova.com/ring/delete-account.html. Account deletion is irreversible; once completed, it cannot be restored. Your account information and associated health data will be deleted.
• Unpair device: unpairing the ring will clear that device's cloud data.
• Request deletion: you can ask us to delete data if we violate laws, collect without consent, breach agreement, or you no longer use the service.
• Obtain a copy: contact us at the email below to request a copy of your personal data.
• Change consent scope: you can withdraw permissions anytime in system settings or app permission settings.
• Automated decision-making: you can request an explanation for any automated decisions affecting your rights.
• Object to data use: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
• Restrict use: you may restrict processing in certain situations.

Additional rights for EU and California residents:

• EU (GDPR): right to rectification, restriction, objection, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
• California (CCPA/CPRA): right to know what personal data we collect, request deletion, opt-out of sale/sharing (we do not sell your data), and non-discrimination for exercising rights. To opt-out, email us at it@mountova.com.

Exceptions: we may not respond to requests in cases of legal obligations, national security, public interest, criminal investigation, publicly available information, contract performance, or other legal exceptions.

Data retention

Data collected in China is stored in data centers in mainland China. Cross-border transfer: your data may be transferred to and processed in China. We ensure such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission.

We retain your account information as long as your account exists. Exercise/activity data is retained until you delete it or cancel your account. After account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 15 working days (including backups, kept no longer than 9 days). After deletion, we may retain some data for legal or safety reasons as required by law.

Information security

We implement SSL/TLS encryption, access controls, and firewalls. However, no transmission or storage is 100% secure. We are not liable for data loss due to hacking, disasters, or user negligence.

Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent/guardian, please contact us.

Changes to the policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be notified via email, in-app notification, or website announcement. Continued use means acceptance.
